This Year's Christmas Card Completed

The female cardinal took a lot longer than the male one originally did.  I can't tell you how many hours I worked on getting her coloring blended and shaded correctly!  I'm going to VistaPrint and having some cards made with this image so I can send my family and maybe a few friends a copy of this beautiful cardinal pair.

DEDICATED TO: My two best friends - Steve Jordan and Chuck Pekala, may they continue to live a long and happy life together.
Completely hand-drawn in Adobe Photoshop.  It took about 2 days and a total of about 13 hours to complete. I'm really proud of this one.  It's one of the best computer-drawn pieces of art I've ever created.  When you create something out of love, it really shows.

Experiment... Sunset

This was a quick Photoshop sketch I just did for the heck of it today.  Since doing many cartoon portraits in that medium, this is an attempt to get used to the medium going freehand.  Not bad for a first try.  Took me about 20 minutes to complete.

I've seen such magnificent artwork come out of Photoshop and I've always had a hand in computer graphics.  Seems much more gratifying than the pencil.  Quicker results, and easy corrections.  But, would computer-based artwork be considered fine art?  Post here and let me know.
